Features of our classes

Safety - we emphasise a comfortable training atmosphere that encourages the development and safety of every student. Savate develops technical ability rather than brute kicking power and so practice is light and controlled.

Beginners are very welcome. Savate is an ideal 'entry-level' art and you will not be pushed beyond your own comfort zone. Our courses are designed to gradually build up your skill and confidence and introduce you to training. You can also start anytime on a five-session trial.

Men and women are both welcome and are equally well-suited to Savate practice.

Fitness - all fitness levels and abilities can enjoy training with us. You don't need to be fit to start. If you are new to training, in just a few weeks you'll find that Savate kickboxing is a great way to get fitter, more flexible and improve your cardio-vascular system.

Advanced - we welcome advanced students from Savate and other disciplines. Many martial arts bring skills and strengths relevant to Savate, and in exchange Savate adds to the repertoire of any martial artist.

"The credit of French Boxing is that it requires a long training period which raises the overall level of strength, helps develop a taste for effort and risk, and teaches how to cope. Little by little one learns how to transform natural violence into disciplined strength and discovers exercise through the use of natural weapons where invention prevails over sheer strength, where one can improvise a strategy of moves, feints or strikes. One learns self-control, loyalty and brotherhood."
