The Competition: All fights at event One will be held in a ring. There will be three rounds of one-and-a-half minutes duration, with a one-minute break between rounds. All bouts will be fought under Assaut rules (i.e. controlled contact). At each League event the weight categories will be fought using the Pool (poules) system. If you need clarification as to how that will work, please contact me. The winner of each weight division at each League event will receive 10 (ten) points. The runner-up (reserve) will get 6 (six) points. Third placed will be awarded 4 (four) points. Fourth placed will receive 3 (three) points. All or any others competitors in that weight category coming below fourth place will receive 2 (two) points.

Any competitor disqualified in any bout will lose one point per disqualification.

Fighters who have amassed the most points in their weight divisions, after completion of all four League events, will become GBSF League Champion 2006. The highest placed British competitor in each weight division will hold the title of British Savate Assaut Champion 2006.

*The cut-off date for guaranteed entries is 12 midnight on Sunday 5th March 2006. Late or on-the-day entries may be considered, but only if there is a low number of entries in that person's particular weight division. All competitors should endeavour to enter into their correct weight divisions. (If in doubt, get weighed on a beam scale at a local gym.)
